CRM Software - Comparison of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Salesforce

CRM software solutions are an integral part of sales, marketing, and customer service in most organizations. Today, CRM software is much better than these features for managing all your business requirements. This is called xRM-(x) any relationship management by Microsoft people. Choosing the right solution for your business is not easy, and companies often compare different CRM products. The two main CRM applications currently available in the market are Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Salesforce.

There was a time when these two CRM apps had more black and white options. We considered either the internally deployed software (Microsoft Dynamics CRM) or the SaaS (Salesforce) model.

The options have become murky with Microsoft's move to the cloud with software as a service model and the addition of a development platform that provides Salesforce with "power".

Salesforce was founded in 1999 with a vision to create an on-demand information management service that replaces traditional enterprise software technology. Salesforce calls itself the "Enterprise Cloud Computing Company". SalesCloud™ and ServiceCloud™ are sales and customer service applications from Salesforce. Their approach to cloud computing deployment models led to the development of the force.com cloud platform, which allows developers and users to build business applications on top of Salesforce products.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM was designed with a long-term vision that empowers customers to use CRM with multiple Microsoft products and choose deployment options that meet their organization's needs.Cedar Field, built by a large, resource-rich Microsoft product team.

IT researcher Springboard has discovered that Australia and New Zealand are already the most mature markets for SaaS applications in the Asia Pacific region.

According to BRW magazine, the Australian and New Zealand markets are expected to grow 45% annually from $1.7 billion in 2008 to $7.7 billion by 2012. The magazine also describes CRM software as the most popular SaaS application. (35%) and “Australian companies use SaaS because it is cheaper than easy to use. Only 9% cited 'ease of use' as a reason for choosing SaaS.

Choice and flexibility

With a multi-tenant CRM solution, Microsoft Dynamics CRM provides any number of deployment options, depending on your needs. Microsoft Dynamic CRM is available on-demand, on-premises, and partner-hosted forms. If your deployment requirements change, you can change your CRM deployment options as each deployment option is built on the same modern architecture and data model. For example, you can take configuration and data hosted by Microsoft and transfer it to a form hosted by your company or a Microsoft partner's web-based CRM software. Salesforce SaaS is powered by the cloud and does not have any software or configuration. If you change to an in-house solution, you will need to move to another CRM application. You need to consider the cost of retrieving data from Salesforce. There are reports that data is being held hostage, depending on which subscription level you buy from Salesforce. This means that depending on your subscription level, you will need to upgrade your subscription to export data.

Cost

Salesforce claims to be much cheaper, but Microsoft Dynamics CRM claims the comparisons are not the same services. The excise price added to the potential price increase upon contract renewal can have a significant impact on the overall cost of Salesforce. When evaluating comparable products online between two opponents, Microsoft Dynamics CRM is available at less than 50% off Salesforce pricing. According to the latest US pricing, "Microsoft CRM [online] runs at $44-59 per user per month versus $125 in Salesforce." Professional Edition.

Salesforce entry prices are cheap, but if you need more features, you obviously have to pay more. With Microsoft CRM, you have access to your entire system from the moment you first purchase it. Purchasing decisions should not be based solely on price, as it is the only element in the decision-making process. Typically people who buy for the first time call after 6 to 24 months for help. From my personal experience, I buy at the price only the first time and repurchase from the service the second time. To compare the price of the company to the price of the host, you have to calculate over a period of 3-5 years, not just one year.

Data ownership

As a software-as-a-service provider, Salesforce does not own the data that its customers collect. Instead, the data center is outsourced to Equinix, a third-party company in the US and Singapore.
